GATE 2009

An All-India exam, GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted in all 8 zones of the country. It is administered by a committee comprising of faculty from IISc, Banglore and 7 IITs on behalf of NCB or National Coordinating Board. The overall responsibility of conducting and coordination of GATE, 2009 lies with IIT, Roorkee.

GATE exam is a very important and reputed exam on PG level. It is also important because the seats here are comparatively less than the first level or the B.Tech level. Why not? As you reach higher, the pyramid of competition becomes steeper and tougher as well. Read more…

GIM 2009

GIM or Goa institute of Management is situated in GOA and is considered to be one of the most sought after institutes for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management or PGDM. In total, there are 120 seats which make admission to this prestigious institute a bit tough. A cut off mark is generally set for qualification in the entrance exam and was 90.2 in the last year. However, no entrance exam is conducted by this institute and candidates seeking admission to this college are required to sit for XAT.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed a 3 year bachelors degree or equivalent examination recognized by AICTE or Association of Indian Universities with a minimum of 50 percent of marks.
  • Candidates in the final year of the qualifying bachelors’ degree are also eligible but they would have to furnish the pass documents as and when require by the authorities.

Selection Procedure

Candidates applying to this institute are short listed based on their performance in the XAT examination and a pre-set cutoff marks. The short listed candidates are then called for a GD and PI.
