Entrance Exam 2009 India

There is no doubt that AIIMS is the best medical institute in India and is most definitely a dream of any medical aspirant to be a student of. It is thus also very clear that the examination here is also one of the toughest and only the best gets the chance of being one of the selected few in this institute.

Eligibility criteria

The minimum age for appearing in the entrance examination of AIIMS is 17 years and one needs to have minimum 60% in both PCB and Mathematics. In case of SC/ST candidates, the cut off mentioned above is reduced to 50%.

Process of Application

1.    Application forms costs 550 INR and 450 INR for SC/ST students.
2.    The application form is available through post by sending the D.D of the amount mentioned above which would be in the favour of “M.B.B.S Entrance Examination-2008” which would be payable at New Delhi.
3.    Request for application form should be clearly mentioned above the envelope and the mailing address should also be prominently stated in block letters.
4.    Money order/Cheque/Cash are not accepted.
5.    22.02.09 is the last date for accepting the application forms.

Important dates

1. 09.01.2009 to 22.02.2009 – Application forms available.
2. 09.01.2009 to 29.02.2009 – Application forms from AIIMS campus are available.
3. 29.02.2009 – Deadline for acceptance of application forms.
4. 01.06.2009 – Examination date.
5. 01.08.2009 – Classes begins.
