AIMS Dental College
AIMS or Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences has taken an initiative in providing a degree course in dental education which started in the year 2003.The College has a beautiful campus with all modern facilities and equipments. The curriculum is maintained accordingly with the regulations of the Dental Council of India.
Courses Offered
The College provides a B.D.S. i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree course and it takes a duration of five years in addition to a six month internship which is optional. The number of seats available for the course is 60. The course is sanctioned by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.
Eligibility Criteria
• Applying candidates should have a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum of 23 years as on 31st December, 2009.
• The candidate should have passed the 10+2 level examination with at least 60% score in English as well as 60% score in aggregate Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Students appearing in the 10+2 level examination in March/April can also apply.
Selection Procedure
Students are selected on the basis of a Common Entrance Test.
Application Procedure
The application form for the Common Entrance Test can be collected at the cost of Rs.1250/- from the given branches of The Dhanalakshmi Bank and South Indian Bank.
Important Dates
• The prospectus with the application form is available from 5th March, 2009 to 22nd April, 2009.
• The last date for receiving completed application form is 27th April, 2009.
• The exam will be conducted on the 17th of May, 2009 which is a Sunday. Duration of the examination is three hours i.e. from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
