Army College of Dental Science
ACDS or Army College of Dental Sciences was established with the aim of providing Dental Education to the children of Indian Army personnel as well as war widows. It was set under the guidance of Army Welfare Education Society .The College is approved by the Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It is affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences. The College has a beautiful campus and provides separate Hostel blocks for boys and girls.
Courses Offered
ABDS i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree is the course which this Institute offers. The course has duration of five years.
Eligibility Criteria
Basically the children of current Army personnel or ex-Army personnel, who have served the army for at least 10 years or the children of their war widows are eligible for admission, only if they have the desired qualification.
Physical fitness of the student is taken into account and should have been certified duly by MH/Authorized Medical Attendant. The candidate should have achieved at least 50% marks in concert in biology, chemistry and physics. Also the candidate should be seventeen years of age by 31st December, 2008 or before.
Selection Procedure
The Institute selects its candidates using the performance of students in Combined Written Admission Test (C-WAT) which the college itself conducts. The total number of examination centre in the country is fifteen.

The candidates can collect the application forms and the prospectus starting from mid January every year.
