Biotechnology in Shakti Mariamman Engineering College, Tamil Nadu
Biotechnology is provided by many management and engineering colleges of India. Shakti Mariamman Engineering College situated in Chennai is one of the engineering colleges which provide biotechnology courses to the desiring candidates. The college is affiliated to a well known Anna University. The college provides biotechnology courses at the engineering level. Entrance tests are conducted by the college for biotechnology courses.
Eligibility Criteria
The college has specific eligibility criteria. The first priority is that the candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates should have passed 10+2 Examination and scored a minimum of 65%. Thirdly, aspirant’s age range should be from a minimum of 17 years to a maximum of 22 years as on 31st of December of the previous year of the present entrance examination.
Selection Procedure
Candidates need to follow the selection procedure. Firstly, candidates need to appear for a written entrance examination for the course. After the entrance examination there are group discussions and then an interview after which candidates are selected. It is a long and serial process. There are reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC candidates and on the basis of merit.
