Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology and Biotechnology is a renowned and one of the oldest colleges of Mumbai which mainly specializes on two streams that is IT and biotechnology. The college provides biotechnology courses in the degree level. The college is under Mumbai University. The college holds entrance tests for its courses including biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 65% in their 10+2 Examination. The aspirant’s age range should be from a minimum of 17 years to a maximum of 24 years. Students passing out from Maharashtra are allotted 55% of the seats and 45% seats are for students from other states.

Selection Procedure

Candidates need to follow the selection procedure of the college. A written entrance test is compulsory for the course. The marks obtained in 10+2 Examination is also taken into account. If the candidates are selected, then he or she needs to go through the group discussions and an interview, only then the candidates are selected for the course. Students from Maharashtra are given extra Weightage.
