Chitkara Institute of Hotel Management, Punjab

Chitkara Institute of Hotel Management is one of the private colleges in the state of Punjab that offers bachelor’s degree in the hotel management course. The college takes a yearly entrance examination for the admission process in the Hotel Management courses. The entrance examination is a two staged exam namely the test and the other one the personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria

•    Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
•    The age of the applicants should range from 17 years minimum to a maximum of 23 years as per the date of entrance examination.
•    The aspirants who belong to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribe classes are given special incentives, such as the upper age limit of these aspirants are raised to 26 years.
•    The applicants must have secured a minimum of 40% marks in their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent test.

Selection Procedure

Aspirants have to appear for a written entrance examination. Those applicants who have passed this entrance exam are then called for a final personal counseling, where an on spot admission of the applicants take place depending on their over all marks in both the entrance test as well as the interview in their desired courses. Domicile status of the individual candidates plays an important and decisive role during the admission process. Seats are also reserved for the aspirants belonging to the backward classes.
