Hotel Management Entrance Examination, Pune University
Pune University is considered as one of the major government aided University that takes entrance examination on the state level. The University also offers Diploma degree in the Hotel Management course, besides offering the Bachelor’s Degree in Catering as well in Business administration. The test is of high standard and is considered by many as tough.
Eligibility Criteria
• Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
• He or She should not belong to any other state, but only to the state of Maharashtra.
• The candidates must have secured a minimum mark of 40% in their Higher Secondary Examination.
• This criterion is 30% for aspirants belonging to the scheduled castes or to the scheduled tribe class.
• Aspirant’s age should be 17 years minimum and 24 years maximum as per the date of examination.
Selection Procedure
Aspirants have to appear for a written entrance exam. Those candidates who secure high marks are then called for a personal interview in which these selected candidates are asked question based on their personality and service nature. The selected aspirants who belong to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribe classes are admitted in their special reserved seats. Domicile status plays a major role as well as decisive role as all the candidates belong to the same state. The aspirants are also admitted through reserved seats for candidates, who have excelled themselves in certain sphere of life.
