IIFT 2009
India has been the harvesting ground of young talents ain all fields and management is one of the field in which Indians have made their mark. The credit for this clearly goes to the Indian management institutes and IIFT is undoubtedly one of the best and very popular which falls into the top list.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates of any age can be a student of IIFT and apply for being the same, provided he/she clears all the specification for the same. One needs to have minimum three years bachelor’s degree course cleared before applying in IIFT. Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for IIFT, but the evidence proving that the graduation course will be cleared before the commencement of the programme needs to be provided along with the application if you are applying for IIFT when you are final year student.
Examination and Admission Overview
The admission procedures follows conventional rule and general/SC/ST/OBC/PH students will be chosen on basis of merit through written examination, GD and PI. Foreign students or NRI students will be judged through their GMAT scores. The written examination which will be held will be of two hours duration and will consist of objective type questions with multiple choices to them. The sections which are included in the written examination are logical reasoning, English comprehension, quantitative analysis and general knowledge and awareness.
Important dates
1. 20-08-08 – Deadline for availability of the application form and prospectus through post.
2. 03-09-08 – Deadline for the availability of application forms from IIFT premises.
3. 03-09-08 – Deadline for submitting the application form to IIFT counter by hand.
4. 23-10-08 – Entrance examination. Timings are 10:00am to 12:00 noon.
