Eligibility

The criteria for sitting in the Indian Economic/Statistical Services Exam are as follows-
• The candidate for IES must have a Bachelors degree in Economics while the candidate for ISS must have a Bachelors Degree in Statistics or Economics or Mathematics from any University recognized by the government.
• The candidate should be between 21 and 28 years on the 1st of January of the year in which the exam is going to be held. The age limit is increased for SC or ST or OBC people as per government norms.

Important Dates

The UPSC usually conducts the Indian Economic/Statistical Services Exam in the month of November every year.
