Indian Forest Service Examination

Well, if your answer is yes to all of these questions then the Indian forest Service Examination is your destination to fulfill your dreams. This exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission is for recruiting people for the post of forest officers of the Government. This post has tremendous responsibility attatched to it. Not only will you be responsible for looking after the welfare of the wild animals but you will also be helping your country immensely by looking after its most precious source of natural resources. Sometimes this job has a risk of danger but that is what adds to the thrill of having this job.
Eligibility
For sitting in the Indian Forest Service Examination the following criteria are required-
• The candidate must be between 21 and 28 years old on the 1st of July of the year in which he is going to take the exam.
• The candidate must be a graduate with either a Bachelors degree having any of the subjects like Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or he may be a graduate with a degree in Forestry. Engineers can also apply.
• The physical ability of the candidates must be high that is they cannot suffer from any impairment.
• The candidates must be a keen lover of nature and animals.
Important Dates
The UPSC conducted the Indian forest Service Examination on 11th July 2009 and the exam went on for 10 days.
