Maharashtra Veterinary College is an autonomous College taking annual entrance examination for its 65 odd seats. This college holds this examination for the aspirants belonging to the state of Maharashtra only. This entrance examination is for those domicile applicants who did not fair well in the entrance examination of the state level. This college holds this entrance examination on an annual basis.

Eligibility Criteria

•    Aspirants must belong to India and should only have a residence of the state of Maharashtra.
•    The age of the aspirants must be above 17 years and should not be above 24 years as on the date of entrance examination.
•    Applicants must have secured minimum 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent test.
•    Applicants belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribe classes have to secure 10% less as compared to the general class applicants.

Selection Procedure

Aspirants have to appear for a special written entrance examination. Once the candidates have attained the desired marks, they are then called for personal counseling where on spot admission of the individual candidates takes place on the basis of their overall marks in this entrance examination. The candidates belonging to the schedule castes and schedule tribe classes are given reserved seats apart from the number of seats; the college has to offer for the general class aspirants.
