Nanotechnology, Anna University Coimbatore

Anna University, Coimbatore offers a 2 year M.Tech in Nanotechnology. This fast emerging field has promising application in bioscience, medical science, environment, electronics, cosmetics, security and variety of other fields. Hence Anna University aims in creating specialists and experts in this field under the guidance of its expert faculties and state of art labs.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant is considered eligible for the course if he/she has at least 60% aggregate marks for General/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST and PD Category candidates in the qualifying degree that includes BE/BTech (All Branches) / MCA / MSc (Computer Science, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, Information Technology), MSc (Mathematics & Electronics).
Selection Procedure

Admissions will be based on a rank obtained in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). For candidates who have not applied for TANCET, a separate evaluation test will be conducted by the University. If the candidate is selected in the entrance examination then he or she needs to go through group discussions and then an interview, only then candidates will be selected for the course.
