Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore has enlisted the Master degree in Nanotechnology among the various courses it offers. As it a new and fast emerging field with wide range of application in bioscience, medical science, environment, electronics, cosmetics, security and variety of other fields, IIS promises to create experts in this field who can cater to any kind of need in this field under the guidance of Chemistry and Physics department. Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must have 60% in PCB or PCM in +2 and further eligibility required for this program is M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics or B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines such as Chemical/Polymers/Electrical Engineering with first class or equivalent. It is also essential to have passed the CSIR-NET/UGC-JRF exam or to have scored a high rank in GATE/JEST exams.

Selection Procedure

Firstly the applicant to the Nanotechnology course must obtain a good score in either of the following exams- CSIR-NET/UGC-JRF/ GATE/JEST exams. Next the selection for this program is further based on an interview conducted by the institute. The duration of the course is two years.
