Nanotechnology, University of Madras: School of Physical Science
Department of Nuclear Physics of University of Madras, Guindy offers M.Tech courses in nanotechnology. In its state of art labs and under guidance of expert faculties it provides a full fledged training to the students so that they can expertise in this fast emerging field. The need of nanotechnology experts are increasing day by day due to its application in wide range of fields.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate with at least 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree in science in any disciplines, B.E/ B.Tech (Biotech), B.V.S.C., MBBS, BDS or any other University is accepted by syndicate. In B.Sc. Physics/ physics/ Chemistry candidates must have taken mathematics as on of the allied subject.
For candidates with letter grades/CGPA, the equivalent percentage of marks will be decided by the admitting institute(s).
Selection Procedure
Admissions will be based on a rank obtained in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). For candidates who have not applied for TANCET, a separate evaluation test will be conducted by the University. If the candidate is selected in the entrance examination then he or she needs to go through group discussions and then an interview, only then candidates will be selected for the course.
