The full form of NBRC is National Brain Research Centre. It is an Autonomous Institute and is a part of the Department of Biotechnology. This department conducts research programs in the field of Neuroscience so that they can understand the functioning of Brain in health and disease. The Institute invites all the aspiring candidates for PhD program in the Institute. The Institute has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and is also a deemed University.

Eligibility Criteria:

•    Candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree form any of the recognized University in any of the following branches:

1.    Life Science
2.    Chemistry
3.    Physics
4.    Statistics
5.    Mathematics
6.    Pharmacy
7.    Psychology
8.    Computer Applications
9.    Veterinary Science

•    Or Candidates should have passed their Graduation in Technology/ Engineering/ Medicine.

•    Or candidates should have passed their Master’s Degree in Technology/ Engineering/ Medicine.

•    Final year candidates can also apply for this course.

•    Dates of Interview: May/ June, 2009
