Entrance Exam 2009 India

NCHMCT or National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was setup by the Ministry of Tourism in Delhi in the year 1982. The aim of establishing NCHMCT was to provide skilled and professional training in Hotel Management field so that the professionals can cater to the tourism and hospitality industry. IGNOU co-operates the Council to provide bachelors and Masters degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management. The course duration is 3 years. Bothe NCHMCT and IGNOU have recently started Ph.D. program in Hospitality.

Eligibility Criteria

•    Candidates must have passed class 10 or 12 exam or any other equivalent exams.
•    Maximum age for the candidates applying for the PG courses is 25 years while for the other courses is 22 years.

Selection Procedure

Selection is based on an exam. The students are selected if they score a minimum cutoff marks which is decided by the University.

•    Counseling: mid June

•    Application form availability: June

•    Entrance date: July
•    Result declaration: July
•    Beginning of session: July end
