NIPS school of hotel management, Kolkata
NIPS school of hotel management, situated at the Salt Lake area of Kolkata, is one of the most glorious as well as high esteemed hotel management institute. It is the only Asian institute to be awarded with worldwide hospitality award in Paris in the year 2003. Along with that, it is the first institute to win 10 National and State levels Chef Competition. It is the first Indian institute to be a member of the best European hotel schools, Eurhodip. Two friends set up the institute 14 years ago. The institute initially had only 17 students, but today the institute has reached the peak height. After winning the Gurukuljyoti award in 2006, the institute proudly proved itself to be amongst the best five institutes of India.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates aspiring to take admission in NIPS school of hotel management should satisfy primarily two conditions. Firstly, the aspirant should be below 22 years of age. Secondly, the candidate should have qualified 10+2 level or its equivalent from any educational board. There is no criterion about the citizenship.
Selection procedure:
The candidates are selected through a written examination test. Candidates qualifying the written test are then called for the Group discussion. After qualifying the group discussion, the candidates are called for a personal interview, after which they are selected. The written test is basically held at Kolkata, Chandigarh, Bhopal, New Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati.
