PGIMER
Post Graduate Institute of Medical education & Research Medical Entrance is organized by PGIMER. PGIMER invites application for courses conducted by them. The admission will be done through an Entrance Examination.
Courses Offered
The courses offered at PGIMER are:
• Post-Doctoral (DM/M.Ch)
• Postgraduate MD/MS
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates should have passed MBBS from any University/ Institute which should be recognized by the Medical Council of India. The candidates should have made not more than one attempt during their MBBS course.
• Candidates must have either finished or due to complete their one year internship.
• Due to different courses there are some differences in eligibility criteria for different courses.
• For DM courses except for DM (Clinical Pharmacology) Course:
• Candidates must possess an MD degree in Medicine or Pediatrics which should be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
They must be registered under the Central/ State Medical Registration Council.
• For DM (Clinical Pharmacology) Course:
• Candidates must possess an M.D. degree in Pharmacology which should be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
• For M.Ch. Courses:
• Candidates should have completed their MS degree in General Surgery which should be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
• For M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) Course
• Candidates must have completed their MS degree in General Surgery / M.S. (ENT) / M.S. (Ortho.) recognized by the Medical Council of India.
They must be registered under the Central / State Medical/Registration Council.
Selection Procedure
There are no specific selection criteria for admission into this Institute. Selection will be based on the performance in the Entrance Test.
Important Dates
• Entrance Examination for MD/MS will be held in June 2009.
• Entrance Examination for DM/M.Ch will be held in June 2009.
