Public Service commission in Maharashtra is the authority conducting civil services in the state of Maharashtra. Apart from conducting Civil services in the state the commission is also responsible for conducting various other Examinations for services into different departments of Maharashtra State government. The head office of the commission is situated at the state capital Mumbai.

    * State Civil Services Examination
    * Agricultural Services Examination
    * Assistant (Secretariat) & Sales Tax Inspectors Examination
    * Assistant Inspector of Motor Vehicles Examination
    * Clerical and Typists Examination
    * Engineering Service Examination
    * Forest Services Examination (Asstt. Conservator of Forests)
    * Police Sub-Inspectors (Unarmed) Examination
    * Stenographers Examination

Maharashtra public service commission syllabus:
  
There is a list of compulsory and optional subjects which is included in the Examination. The compulsory ones include
   1. Marathi
   2. English
   3. General Studies – I
   4. General Studies - II
There are various optional ones also.

Eligibility Criterion:
    
The candidate should have a minimum qualification of college degree in any discipline from any recognized University.
