Saveetha Dental College
Saveetha Dental College established in 1988 under the Saveetha University aims at providing Dental Education both at graduate, post-graduate as well as doctorate level. It is a self funding dental college. The college is equipped with 6500 sq. ft air conditioned library. Internet access with a speed of up to 2 Mbps is available for both the students and the parents. Separate lodging facility is provided for boys as well as girls inside the campus.
Courses Offered
• The college provides an undergraduate degree in B.D.S. i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery which takes a duration of five years.
• It offers a post graduate degree in M.D.S. i.e. Master of Dental Surgery which takes a period of three years.
• The college also offers a M.Sc. degree in Oral Biology and Bio materials as well as certificate courses in Dental Mechanic and Dental Hygienist.
Eligibility Criteria
• For the undergraduate course a candidate should have reached an age of minimum 17 years by 31st December of the year of admission and a minimum of 15 years for certificate courses.
• For the undergraduate course a candidate should have passed 10+2 level examination with English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics scoring at least 60% marks and 50% in All India Entrance Examination.
• For the certificate courses, 10th standard pass certificate is required by the applying candidate.
• For post graduate degree, a B.D.S. degree accredited by the Dental Council of India is needed along with the completion of Compulsory Rotation Internship (C.R.I) by 31st March of the admission year.
• For Masters Degree in MBBS, BPT, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS, or B.Sc. in Zoology, Bio-Technology or Allied Health Sciences is required.
• Medical fitness is required for all the above offered courses.
