Maharashtra State eligibility test is carried out by the Pune University for admission to large number of law, sciences and literary courses. The examination centers are scattered all across Maharashtra and Goa as well. AS mentioned, this exam is conducted for higher studies in literary, law and science subjects; a Post Graduation is a must here. More so, the test usually focuses on the general aptitude of the candidate and for that you need to come out of the books, think and then answer.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed his or her PG examination with a minimum of 55 percent marks. Qualifying marks in PG for SC/ST is relaxed by 5 percent.

Selection Procedure

The exam is usually conducted in two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The qualifying marks in both the papers are fixed as 40 for General and OBC candidates and, 35 for SC/ST/VH/Ph candidates.

Sale of application form: August, 3rd week
Last date for submission of complete filled-in application form: September, 3rd week
Entrance Examination Date: 18/01/2009
