Sri Ramchandra Dental College and Hospital
Sri Ramachandra Dental College is the place for all the students aspiring to pursue dental education. The college offers dental education both at graduate and postgraduate level under the Sri Ramachindra University which now enjoys the status of being a deemed university. The college spreads over an area of 230000 sq. ft. and is equipped with all the modern facilities to provide a quality education in the field of dentistry. The college is accredited by the Dental Council of India as well as the similar Councils in Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Courses Offered
The college offers a degree in B.D.S. i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery which takes a period of 4 academic years and 1 year internship.
The college also offers a post graduate degree in M.D.S. i.e. Masters of Dental Surgery in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry and Endotonics, Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, and Orthodontics, which all takes a period of three years.
Eligibility Criteria
For the undergraduate course a 10+2 level examination is to be passed with English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Zoology and Botany as per the norms of Dental Council of India.
For the entire above mentioned postgraduate courses a B.D.S. degree from a college recognized by the Dental Council of India is required.
Selection Procedure
Students are selected on the merit basis through the result of All India Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Sri Ramachandra University itself.
