Veterinary Entrance Examination, Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi
Jawahar Lal Nehru University or JNU as it is better known as takes an annual entrance examination for admission in its veterinary seats. This University offers latest courses in veterinary science such as Micro Biology animal nutrition, Animal Toxicology, Animal Reproduction and various such others. This entrance examination is given by aspirants from all over India.
Eligibility Criteria
• Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
• These candidates have to secure a minimum of 55% marks in their Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English combine in their Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent test.
• The candidate’s age should not have crossed a maximum of 25 years and should not be below 17 years as on the date of entrance examination.
• A special section of seats are also reserved for foreign students of other countries.
• Students belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribe classes have to secure 10% less in their higher Secondary Examination.
Selection Procedure
Aspirants have to appear for a written entrance examination. Those candidates who have passed the examination are then called for a special personal interview in which theses students are asked question based on their confidence level and personality as well as on their basic knowledge. Scheduled castes and scheduled tribe candidates are given special section of reserved seats in this University. Domicile status plays no special role during the admission process.
