The full form of WOMBAT is Wondrous Original Method of Basic Airmanship Testing. It is an aptitude test and is conducted by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi. The Institute is very much sought after Institute for Aviation training. WOMBAT is conducted every year for taking admissions to the Ab-initio to CPL course. WOMBAT, thus, allows candidates who aspire to become a pilot to get into this Institute and fulfill their dream and touch the sky.

Courses offered

•    2 years Ab-initio to CPL Course.
•    1 & ½ years PPL to CPL Course.

Eligibility criteria

•    Candidates who are applying for admission into this Institute must have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Physics and must have English as one of their main subjects.
•    Candidates are only eligible to apply for this course if they are over 17 years old.

Selection Procedure

The examination contains questions from English, Mathematics and Physics of 10+2 standard. The cutoff marks expected is 60% and candidates will only be selected if they score minimum of cutoff marks. For any other queries, you can visit www.igrua.gov.in.

Important dates (Proposed)

•    Application form availability: June
•    Admit cards dispatch: July 1st week.
•    Written Aptitude Test date: 4th week of July.
•    Pilot Aptitude Test date: 1st to 2nd week of August.
